Queen of Bilbali, the mad queen, mistress of the corsairs of the great ocean, beloved of Manann.
The kingdom of Bilbali is the second largest and richest kingdom on the Estalia peninsula and its power and wealth comes almost exclusively from maritime trade, which is why many ships loaded with all kinds of valuable cargo sail its coasts. This attracts a large number of pirates who infest the waters in search of riches. For many years, piracy was the biggest problem in the kingdom, but that changed with Juana's ascension to the throne.
Juana was not the first option to govern because she had two older brothers who would have succeeded her in the event of the death of their parents, while she dedicated herself to the priesthood of the god Manann and for 4 years she travelled the seas of the world in various ships. Unfortunately, in 2518 CI, at the age of 20, Juana was forced to ascend to the throne as the sole survivor of her lineage after an alliance of several of the most infamous pirates from the coasts of the old world sacked the city of Bilbali and the royal palace. Killing Juana's family and taking a large amount of treasures, including Bilbali's crown, to his lair on the island of Sartosa.
After restoring order as best as she could in the kingdom, he assembled a fleet with the few ships and soldiers available to him and embarked in command of this punitive expedition to avenge his dead and recover what was stolen. With a fleet of 25 ships and 8,000 men, Juana headed towards the island of Sartosa despite the incessant complaints from her captains and generals who implored her to turn around because it was impossible to assault the island of Sartosa with so few numbers.
Ignoring them she stopped her fleet at a safe distance from the island and for almost two weeks she waited until the day a furious storm fell uppon the island. The strong winds, the lightning, the strong waves and the intense rain made sailing in these conditions a suicide and but after a long prayer to Manann, Juana ordered her fleet to enter the storm towards the island with her ship in front as a guide. A fifth of the ships refused to follow their queen, accusing her of being crazy, another fifth of the ships were sunk by the storm but the rest made landfall with hardly any damage as guided by the mercurial favor of the god of the sea.
What followed was a unilateral massacre in which the Estalian troops put to the sword more than 25,000 pirates, thieves, farmers and every inhabitant of Sartosa that got in their way. Since they were not expecting this attack in the middle of the storm and were completely unprepared they died as their screams were drowned out by thunder and rain whether they were to blame or not. Juana herself personally cut off the head of the pirate lord who boasted in a tavern of his victories while mockingly wearing Bilbali's crown on his hat, Juana putting on the crowned hat while outlining a smirk. After the massacre, the Estalians filled the holds of their ships with the treasures that the Sartsa pirates had looted, returning to Bilbali with a loot almost 30 times bigger than what they had lost in the first place. Treasure that Juana used to rebuild her kingdom and create a great fleet under the command of which is dedicated to continue persecuting with religious fervor any pirate on its shores.
