Warhammer Estalia concept art: (Hero) Basajaun

The Basajaun, Lords of the Forest or Wild Lords are a type of forest spirit similar to those that inhabit Athel Loren. Of prodigious size and strength, they are considered the first settlers of those lands now known as Estalia, living in the most remote mountains and forests. Humanoid in appearance, measuring more than 3 meters, with a body covered in hair and a very long mane that reaches their feet.
These beings are considered as gods of nature and worshiped by the Estalians (especially by those who live in the rural areas of Estalia). Far from being aggressive, they are affable protectors of deer, wild boars, herds of sheep, and all kinds of animals. When a storm approaches, beastmen or wolves they shout and whistle on the mountain to warn the animals and shepherds. In return, the Basajaun receive as tribute food offerings from the humans they collect while they sleep. The Basajaun appear in Estalian myths as the first farmers and holders of secrets from which men learned how to farm or raise cattle.
Despite what has been said, the Basajaun are capable of becoming very aggressive and terrifying beings, of colossal strength and wielding the arcane winds of beasts and life to destroy their enemies. When the forests or the natural order of their territory is threatened by either beastmen herds, nurgle's servants of chaos (whom the basajaun hate inordinately), or humans who do not respect their domains, it is not uncommon for the Basajaun ask for help from the Estalians who still respect them and work together with their forces to neutralize the threats.
