Warhammer Estalia concept art: Militia

In a nation as conflict-ridden as Estalia, local lords do not always have the funds to hire enough mercenaries (if any) and are therefore sometimes forced to muster their own citizens for battle. These peasants, ranchers, and lower-class citizens grab whatever is at hand to defend themselves, be it daggers, sickles, makeshift clubs, or any tool that can pass as a weapon. Though they fight to defend their homes and for fear of losing everything at the end of the day, these are not soldiers and their morale will quickly break as battle lines collide while their commanders only hope they hold out long enough to repel the enemy.
