The Oni Samurai are the true military power of Nippon. Clad in resplendent metal armor, these massive knights enforce a complex and strict class system. These noble warriors rule large domains and lead armed retinues, often engaging in private warfare with one another. They use a wide variety of weapons such as katanas, nodachi, large war clubs known as tetsubos, and gigantic bows that fire arrows the size of ballista bolts. His martial code admits no failure, and there can be no honor in defeat. Samurai are very concerned about maintaining their reputation as warriors, and they always fight to the best of their ability and have therefore developed their skills to a level far superior to that of humans. Thanks to their enormous size and strength, their innate resistance to the blows of mundane weapons, their high-quality equipment, and their rigorous training, the oni samurai are some of the most formidable enemies one can face in the world.
